Not what I expected. I ended up giving the book away because the crafts where mostly about making incents and quilts... I mean those are great, but how can you have two completely separate chapters on the same subject? There are two separate chapters on incents... Again I was hoping for more than what I ended up with in this book. Better off just looking up specific crafts online than to waste your money on this book.

Cute book. I'm not a fan of potpourri and there are a lot of potpourri recipes. But there are a neat little portion of crafts that I think will be fun to try out such as candle dipping! Love the illustrations.

Bought this so a friend and I can make our own Wicca items. Only made one so far but the crafts are cute and easy.

As with all of Scott Cunningham's books they are extremely easy to read and follow . I can use all information that is in the book and it's practical purposes are very much easy to understand.

I got this book since my disciplines are very strict I wanted to learn something a bit more creative. The book is descriptive enough to make everything but almost all of the crafts are very shaman based. Over all if you seek a creative discipline this is right up your ally but if you. Seek it to advance a discipline outside of shamanism this isn't for you.

Excited to explore this book, I enjoy Scott Cunningham's work. I have several of his books & I must say he is one of my very favorite wiccan authors. I would certainly recommend him to beginners, he covers topics in a way that is easy to understand, but also in depth.

I read Condemned by Fate at the end of January. I read it on the plane on my way to California. I have to say when I was finished I was pretty upset with the ending. It has taken me some time to put up a review because I wasn't sure what I felt about the story. I can tell you that for some reason this book crosses my mind a few times during the week. Tonight I have found it easing it's way back into my thoughts. When an author's writing can touch on your emotions like that and breath life so well into the characters that you think about them I have to give it 5 stars.Brigitta Moon

An enjoyable read that gives you a glimpse of farm life in northern England, Condemned by Fate is a story that begins with a very sick Charles, at the age of 23, as he lay on his deathbed, remembering back to the first day he met Mary at the age of 19, when he went to work on her father’s farm that summer. Their relationship grew during the summer. His marriage proposal to Mary in August was interrupted when her father walked in on them. Charles bore the brunt of his fury and displeasure, and left immediately to go back to his father’s farm to lend a helping hand at harvest time. Things got complicated then and it took some time to get it all sorted out before he saw Mary again. The story then skips the four years of Charles and Mary’s life together, and jumps to the end of Charles’ life. I really got into it, and wanted to read more about their story.

Condemned by Fate is an exceptionally well-written and convincing portrayal of 1839 rural life in a historical fiction by talented author VL McBeath. This is a short story prequel to The Ambition & Destiny Series. As I’ve found this story captivates my interest so much, I’ve moved on to read the first novel in the related series. It was refreshing to read a real historical fiction story set in Victorian England that was more than just a romance set against a Victorian backdrop.

I have been so disappointed in the books I have recently read. They have been so shallow and written as if not even proofread before going to print. Then I found "Condemned by Fate" and as I was coming towards the end of this book I found myself thinking "Now this is a well written book! Finally something worth reading!!!" I cannot wait to start the series this was a preclude of.

Am now reading this collection about Mary, Charles, Harriet, Mr. Wetherby and the entire family surrounding them. Going from book to book, it puts you right in the lives of these people to where you can't wait to find out what is next for them. So far, Mary seems to be the one constant in these books and you just keep hoping she will find something better for herself and her children.

This was a simple, quaint little story that once I started reading could not put down. When I got to the end, I found myself wanting more. A good read, and I would definitely recommend this book to those who like historical fiction.

Well written, and certainly pulled me in... then left me hanging wanting to know the rest of the story... Obviously, a whole lot has transpired over the past four years. Recommend you have a taste of this upcoming book.

He, a strong Christian, waschallenged to examine his beliefs when his brothersuffered from a painful disease that took his life.He addresses questions we all have about the unfairnessof life. His search for answers has led him to amuch deeper understanding about our truly loving God.

I found this book quite by accident, well you know what I mean! I was looking at Ken Ham's Facebook page because some friends said I might like to see some Aussie food he had on there. (Because I am an Aussie living in America). I was scrolling through it and came across an e-book offer for 99c and the title was a question I had on my heart after my missionary husband had killed himself. Brilliant, insightful, honest, heartwarming, sad, and truth revealing. I could not stop reading. It answered my question and then I understood why I hated this world. There is a good reason to.
