I bought a bunch of bottles of the biggest Nutellas I found in amazon and I use it for Christmas gift basket along with this Nutella book, the Nutella spatula and cookies. Everyone loves it!

If you're looking for recipes on the rich side, this is your book. The recipes aren't super simple, take some time to prepare and use a variety of ingredients you may not have around your house. If you're looking for "quick recipes" this may not be your best bet, but the couple recipes that I tried (truffles!) were exquisite.

I got this book for a friend of mine who's from Italy and who loves Nutella (he makes amazing Nutelka crepes). He was genuinely impressed by the recipes in this little book, and can't wait to try them. I can't wait to be around when he does :)

My wife really likes Nutella ( a healthy part of a balanced meal) so I got this as a random gift. The recipes are actually real recipes and not feel like the Nutella was forced into a recipe just to make it a Nutella recipe.

Who doesn't love Nutella, right? The book was intersting, but none of the receipes really impressed me or were that creative. Most you could've already assumed you could use nutella on. Would've liked to have more non-traditionl nutella items. Great novelty item.

Most of the recipes are too complex to do for casually fun baking. Only a couple suitable to do with children. I'm sure most of them are wonderful, we just won't ever attempt them.

I gave this as a gift to a young lady who loves Nutella. She was thrilled and couldn't wait try the recipes. The book is darling and is cut in the shape you see. It is slightly padded and opens from the "lid" end. Pictures throughout. I recommend it as a fun little gift.

Can be done by my 11 year old who is extremely happy with this book and loves Nutella. But who doesn't?

This was definitely an inside book into a teens mind! I bought this book and hoped it would be useful and what I got was so much more. I needed a book to help me connect with younger brother who by all means is self diagnosed with anxiety and panic. Man this booked wasn't just helpful for me but I gave it to him to read as well and it was an amazing book to share between the two of us. It really gave us the opportunity to connect, try some of the excercises and not just have a better opportunity to fix him but really fix our relationship with each other. This book forever bonded us! We had a fun time coming up with a panic plan. I can't believe we didn't come up with one of these before! What was neat about this is we created a panic plan for him but also one for me so that I don't get all worked up worrying about him getting worked up. This book was eye opening and brought a lot of self awareness to both of us. The information is easy to understand, practical and the perfect solution to help anxious teens AND their loved ones - whomever that may be - teachers, relatives, siblings, parents etc. I have seen my brother adopt a more better understanding of himself which is the biggest step I've seen in a while. GREAT BOOK!! HIghly recommend.

When I was a teenager, I suffered from terrible anxiety. As I’ve grown into an adult, I have learned strategies to help me deal with this. But I still remember how difficult it was for me as a teen. When my aunt told me that her son, my teenaged cousin, was suffering from anxiety, I decided to look into it. I bought a couple books on teen anxiety to send along. I loved this book. It’s easy to read with simple language and illustrations, while at the same time not being condescending to teens. This book utilizes some CBT therapy and outlines strategies and techniques to help teens. It provides specific exercises that even helped me, as an adult! I’m sending this to my aunt and cousin soon. I enjoyed this book and learned a lot.

By all accounts this book is great, because it has been helpful for many if not most of its readers. For me, however, it must not have been the right book. Reading it showed me exactly how much anxiety is affecting my life, but I didn't feel like it was in-depth enough for me.

I hand this book out like candy to my clients. Adults and teens, alike. It is a little on the simpler side for adults, but many find it easy to follow and quick to master. I see many adolescents struggling now with anxiety,and this book has helped a good percentage. Gives tools for every day stress, extraordinary stress and offers insight on when it is time to consider medication.

This book helped my 13-year-old understand her anxiety better than she had before. It had some good exercises that were worthwhile. The best chapters were the first ones that gave very good descriptions of the types of anxiety. She was able to pinpoint hers, and it seemed to help her to see her symptoms in print, like she is not alone. It was a helpful book, although not the answer to everything.

Would give this 0 stars if I could. So glad I began reading this before I gave it to my daughter. The second chapter discusses the pluses and minuses of getting help. Here it tells them that once they tell friends about their anxiety they “might not include you...or might not ask you to hang out with them...” due to their concerns about you. Why on earth would you hand that to a child who is just learning how to deal with her anxiety? I want my daughter to be open to dealing with this, not end up shutting down because she’s afraid of losing friends. Yes, people may treat you differently, but this is a terrible way to phrase it. I don’t care what degrees the authors have—that is completely ignorant. I absolutely will not share this with my child.

This book was recommended by my sons doctor. It may be good for others, but my son had a hard time connecting to it. There wasn't any activities to help him with his anxiety, so we bought another book that did and he loves it.

As a mental health professional, this is one of my favorite books for teaching teens about anxiety. Easy to read and a great chapter on panic. Just have to get past the creepy cover!

This was the pivotal book of my early adolescence and is still a touchstone for me as an adult. No other book has had such a profound effect on my thinking, personality, spirituality, and character. I should clarify that I didn't then and don't now share her Christian interpretation of the universe which many people consider to be the essence of this book and much of her writing. For me, this book reminded me to say yes to life, to accept responsibility, to be brave even when frightened, not to make decisions based on fear, and to accept people as they are. The lessons that I learned from this book have seen me through some very difficult episodes. She gave me the strength to do what was right even when that action was dangerous. I found this book when I was 12. I will be 59 next month and I still read it once or twice a year. I am convinced that it is partly responsible for my still be here.

This is a great book for middle schoolers. I am reading it with my child. Great imagery. Excellent book to teach figurative language and a fun read. My child asks for our reading time together. If you start reading early with your child, they never get to old for it. He loves, even at 12, for you read a chapter, I read a chapter every night time. This has led to some deep conversations and has increased his ability to read dramatically and fluently. I encourage all parents to do this. One way or another, this is a great book for 5-7 graders.

When a strange old lady shows up at their door, the adventure to find him begins. The old lady and two more of her odd friends lead them out of the universe into the worlds of some strange planets that are under the influence of the horrible, shadowy IT.A Wrinkle in Time is both a sci-fi story and a coming of age story. Meg, an awkward and insecure girl finds the courage and resourcefulness to overcome IT and save her father and brother. She also learns about the importance of family and love. While the character growth of Meg is nice, at times it seems a little contrived. One minute she's on the brink of death under the grip of IT, and the next, she's ready to face IT because she knows that it's something only she can do. It's also not very clear why little Charles, who has the vocabulary of a Harvard graduate, is so special. Some of the characters could have benefited from more development. Throughout the story there are references to Christianity: quotes from scripture, mention of guardian angels, and the idea that God is in charge of everything. This gives the story a "Chronicles of Narnia" kind of feel.Overall, the story is very good, and one that would appeal to middle grade readers who enjoy sci-fi/fantasy books.

I was reading this at night as I recovered from total knee joint replacement surgery.The reason I bought the book was because I want to see the movie when it's available. When I started reading it, I really didn't know what to expect, but I stuck with it to the very end, because the story line and characters were very intriguing. Now I'm even more curious to see how the movie version of it turned out, which usually doesn't turn out as well. However, the premis of the book and how it all came together in the end was delightful. This is one I'm keeping on my shelf for a later re-read.

There are no words for a sublime emotional experience. Suffice it to say that I am so grateful to have been allowed enough time on the planet to do a reread of a childhood favorite from at least a 50 year life time ago perspective. The book instantly connected me to the girl I was and gave me an understanding of why science fiction became my most favorite comfort read for so far all of my life. A Wrinle in Time was my first ever trip into this genre , and what a fantastic trip it was!

Incredibly superficial. The entire book has a preachy tone that pushes nonconformity and religion/blind faith.As for the plot, there effectively is none. The first three quarters of the book is setup for a climax that never happens.The aspect that bothers me most is how outdated it feels socially. The story pushes the tired "ugly duckling" motif and generally emphasizes the importance of good looks and traditional social standing and relationships, while confusingly claiming that nonconformity is the pinnacle of life and meaning. I understand that this is colored by the Cold War Communist scare, but the book gives a very strange and dated message.

These books provide no educational information as to what modding is. It simply renders steps on what to do on a computer.

Overview: This is a good basic intro to modding for children, but there are some things you should know before you buy.This book (and related website) use a very simplified teaching method using drag-and-drop code, in which you literally drag blocks of code from one panel into another. For Java, or any object-oriented language, that’s as easy as it’s going to get. You avoid having to learn syntax right away. You don’t first have to learn the principles of "model-view-controller." You simply drag the shell of a function onto the screen, and then drag commands and loops into the function.To actually run the mods requires a Minecraft account, but if you’re modding, you probably have that already. The teaching software sends mods to a Minecraft server, and adds that server to your login.The problem with this book is that it doesn’t quite match the software, so things are not where you expect to see them. Apparently, the software has been updated since the book was published. For example, very early on, connecting the software to your Minecraft account, you click on “Minecraft Connect,” but the button shown in the book isn’t there! I finally found it under “Home,” in case you end up looking for it. This is the kind of stuff that bores and frustrates kids — I know my 10-year-old son started to lose interest when we ran into obstacles like this, though he perked up again when I figured it out. If your child is doing this alone, it may be more of an issue.Another thing that confused us was the book shows you the panel from which you drag your code blocks, and the blank panel where you drop the code. But on the screen, only the left panel matched. The right panel was a simulated Minecraft world. It turns out that is where you drop your code! It’s weird, and takes some getting used to, and even then, I found myself accidentally getting into the simulation in full screen, and getting out of it threw me all the way out of the program, and I had to start over. There needs to be a more intuitive interface, including an "exit to lesson” button.The book is somewhat redundant, and because it doesn’t match the screen, was more of a hinderance during the actual modding. We found ourselves abandoning the book altogether and just following the instructions on the screen. It is still helpful for offline reading, in terms of getting familiar with the types of blocks available and what they do, and getting a preview of the more advanced lessons. Also, the book came with an access code that you type in at the website that gains you 90 days free connection to the mod server. I don’t know what it costs after that 90 days; it would be nice if that info were obvious.One plus is that the lessons, including video demonstrations, are very straight to the point. They don’t waste time with a lot of zany joking around.Verdict: good way to teach kids basic programming, but needs to be updated to match the website.

My daughter is 9, and she loves playing Minecraft on her iPad. She can't get enough of it! She loves creating animals, using different skins, and building amusement parks. This "Modding Minecraft" book was a natural next step in encouraging her in STEM fields.This "Dummies Junior" book operates under the assumption that Minecraft is being used from a PC or a Mac, not a mobile device (not iPhone, iPad). You will also need access to the LearnToMod.com website. The book comes with a code that gives you a 60-day free trial to the website.What I enjoyed about this book the most is the layout. The book is small enough to not be intimidating, but long enough to really draw kids in to the creative possibilities that modding gives them. The pages are full-color, and the instructions are easy to read, easy to follow, and easy to use. This is technical writing for children, and they did a fantastic job of it.

Not all 8 year olds are going to have the patience to read this book, even if they are average readers for their age.Even being a Minecraft fanatic doesn't seem to be enough motivation for some kids.Add that to the fact that the book and the software do not line up and you have a bit of a mess on your hands.We had resorted to reading the book to him, trying to get him motivated again, he was at first, until he tried to read the book on his own.Unfortunately he had never been given a chance to code before, long story involving shared custody that I won't get into on here.So we were pretty much starting from scratch.After a few failed attempts, we decided to shelve the project and come back to it over summer vacation, when we would have moreuninterrupted time to work on it with him.Our impression of the book was mostly positive, but that was looking at it as an adult, to him it was a lot of stuff that was way over hishead, even though it was about his beloved game.Moral of the story: Some kids are not going to be ready for this and actually can be turned off of coding if this is their first introduction to it,primarily because of the disconnect between what the books says and what the software program actually did.

I like the basic approach and organization of the book. The real value lies in the online lessons that are hosted on a website that then lets the student earn badges by going through a series of lessons. I love the set up and the programmatic approach taken here.The devil is in the details. The world of browsers is fluid and what worked well at one time may not work in a new version of your browser due to changes made for security or other reasons.The result in our case was that we kept encountering issues with either the voxel simulator or with the ability to push mods to Minecraft. These stumbling blocks can sometimes be ignored or worked around. But they tend to kill the momentum of the child trying to follow the lesson. It's like trying to learn to drive with a car that keeps stalling out on you.So as much as I like the approach and feel that they authors have poured an insane amount of work into this, I can't give this an unreserved recommendation due to the issues we encountered with the web-based software.

I started this book and read it without putting it down, I couldn’t, it just would let me. Unbelievable plot twist, and omg the characters! They are like friends or family not just a characters in a book. This series has been awesome from book one but Lisa outdid herself on book three. If you’ve read the first two books, grab this one and read like the wind. If you haven’t read the first two books, do yourself a favor and get started on this series but hold on it’s a wild ride!

Wow! Wow! Wow! In this long anticipated book, Akers takes us on an exciting journey with Grayson and his family. This book has you laughing, crying, and all the feelings in between as we follow their journeys. If you want an action packed adventure story, full of people who are real, read this series!!! Unlike many series you’ll find people who are simi-prepares, totally unprepared, some people who are just downright ev, some who are power hungry, and some that are just everyday ordinary people who are rising to meet the challenges facing them.

I’m now taking a deep breath, as I just finished reading this third installment in the SHTF series, Run Like the Wind. It’s another home run of a read from L. L. Akers! Her books are always extremely well written and researched, and her characters are so engaging and relatable. As a reader, you cannot help but become emotionally invested in the trials and tribulations of these folks as they cope with survival in a post-apocalyptic world. Readers out there, you’re going to love this series, but please do not read this book until you’ve gone back and read books 1 & 2 first, you will not be sorry! For further backstory on some of the main characters, check out the Let Me Go series, too! I don’t want to give any spoilers, but be prepared to get a few strange looks from people when you suddenly laugh out loud, Lisa Akers has an imaginative way with descriptive phrases. All in all, an awesome read!

I love this writer, and this book is one more reason why. "Run like the wind" was an amazing adventure of a read. As always Akers brings the story off the page. I got so sucked in to Grayson's family, and the Tullymore community's struggles to survive SHTF, that I didn't realize how quickly I had finished the book. This story answers questions we have been wondering about for so long, and has some serious twists that you will never see coming. I enjoy how Akers adds tips to help those struggling with real life SHTF situations, and not just the big one (although those are there too ;) ) I will be patiently waiting for your next book! Wonderful work!

Absolutely the best book yet in this series. Fast paced story line, once again Olivia is the girl everyone loves to hate! Emotional rollercoaster ! Waiting on pins and needles for the next book.

I like the author. She has a unique view on what people do during a crisis. She interjects real humanity into her books: Panicky kinda-sorta prepper.Female college student. Has a clue, wishes she'd paid more attention. Dad has helped her out.Wife of the kinda-sorta prepper who has to be the most hated character since Prince Joffrey.Developmentally disabled boy who is an Ox. Challenges faced because of him and what he does to contribute.Gun safety, gun education, and mind-set are pretty big here including characters who have yet to make the "mental leap" that guns are a fact in this post-apocalyptic world. It's a nice twist that real people actually go through when they experience a life-changing event.It's a nice change from Rawles's work where everyone is a gun-toting and trained Christian (or Messianic Jew) badass.What I wish the author would do:Off the wife. In this book the wife is TRYING. SO. HARD. It's everything I can do to not go into the book with a black marker and just redact her character entirely with the phrase: "It's a shame she died so tragically, but life moves on and the widower is happier for it."For the developmentally disabled kid: Put a leash on him or something. I realize he's a good story hook, but he's constantly hurting the rest of the group.Solid buy, solid read, entertaining format and considers things that might be nifty to try (Fresnel Lens).Hope no spoilers were given.

Just as good as the first two books in the series but you still wouldn't want to read it out of order start with book 1.

Akers has done it again! This is a great continuation of the stories in the first books. A few questions answered, but more remain, leaving my eager for the next book in this series. Thank you for the great read!
