Wonderful story in spite of less than professional writing style. The enjoyment was not diluted and I bought several copies for golfing friends/Ping players.
Well written and informative
If you are looking for a sermon on religion you have come to right place , but if you are looking for a great insight to the mind and workings of the greatest inovator in clubmaking ever....look somewhere else. this book is about 10% golf and 90% religious praise for this beloved man. Don't get me wrong I respect his devout beliefs but that could have been summed up in about 3 pages not 150. I never fealt that I got any info on how he came up with his great club Ideas, the ping website has better information.
For anyone enjoying PING golfing equipment this story of Karstne Solheim is a "must read". The contribution of the Solheims to both the world of golf and to the world is uplifting.

Great book about a truly exceptional man.
I wrote this review after reading the completely fact-devoid 1-star review that stated this book is about God and has nothing about Karsten Solheim himself. Nothing could be further from the truth on both counts. I own this book and it is 99% about the man as a GOLF CLUB MAKER and inventor, and about the development of the Ping company from the beginning and through the years.The religious and inspirational stuff is barely present anywhere in the book, and I've read it from cover to cover.It's great reading for those interested in Karsten Solheim's engineering of Ping putters from the start in the 1960s, then other golf clubs he engineered, also the growth of his company, and issues around some club models through the years-- such as the lawsuit when the USGA declared the ultra-best-selling Ping Eye 2 irons illegal due to the closely spaced "square grooves" that make shots have greater backspin and bite (the legal settlement was that existing Eye 2 sets--several years' worth(!)-- were grandfathered in as being legal in golf tournaments, but no more sets carrying those grooves may be made in the future).There is some space in this book devoted to his family, but mostly as it relates to their involvement in the Ping company.A surprisingly interesting read and an excellent book. A MUST for golf enthusiasts as well as, yes, inventors.

We shared a very special relationship, owed to my now having played Ping clubs for 20 years. I sincerely commend this book, "Karsten's Way," for it is above all, the story of a far-sighted pioneer, and an essential record of how he revolutionized golf with his exceptional passions.
