This book is a good source of knowledge on the history of Carter and Edelbrock carburetors. The book deals primarily with the Carter Thermo-quad, Edelebrock AFB and AVS, and Will Carter Four Barrel (WCFB). Early chapters deal with the history of Carter and it's subsequent merging into modern day Edelbrock. Alot of good info for those not familiar with carbs, especially TQ's and AFB/AVS. Those looking for a step by step book would probably be best served with a technical manual on the carb though. Rebuilding is reserved for the last chapter or two and is, while the pictures are good, the text is a little lite in that area.
Informative manual. However the binding is horrible! The binding and a lack of color pictures make this manual subpar to SA Design's reputation in my opinion.
As expected.
One of the best books you can find explaining carburetors and especially, Edelbrock and carbs made by Carter. I'd buy it again. Read it "word for word" twice all the way through.
Gives you the basics to tune the carbs to your liking, have to know the basics before you can do anything.
Just adding to the already growing collection of automotive books and repair manuals. Can never get enough education in a forward changing world.
Decent book on Carter four barrels
Very informative and easy reading.....recommended.
